Filthy bootie

This week was my first on the new job. It was a whirlwind of training and getting lost in the massive hospital. I have a 20 minute walk from my car to my office. I don’t mind it, actually. I love walking. It’s just insane that I went from commuting over 20 miles to commuting about 3 miles and it takes me the same amount of time to get to work.

This week I also got back into my gym groove! 615am Tuesday, 615am Thursday, 5pm Friday, 10am today. Plus a short walk with the puppies. That was my goal for this week: go to the gym four times. I’m going to keep that my goal, along with a new one. No food from a drive thru for 30 days.

We have been eating crap lately. Absolute crap and I’m sick of it. But I also don’t want to cook. So I need to suck it up and cook. I made a pot of soup last weekend that took us through most of the week but I also downed some Taco Hell, Dominos and Subway. Not. Awesome.

So, today’s workout was the Filthy Fifty. I actually felt sick last night when I read it and almost didn’t go this morning. Without further ado:

For time:
50 Box jump, 24 inch box
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood
Walking Lunge, 50 steps
50 Knees to elbows
50 Push press, 45 pounds
50 Back extensions
50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
50 Burpees
50 Double unders

That’s the Rxed version for crazy beast-humans. Here’s what I did:

50 Box jump, 24 inch box 12 inch box
50 Jumping pull-ups from a 17″ box
50 Kettlebell swings, 1 pood 20 lbs
Walking Lunge, 50 steps
50 Knees to elbows from the floor
50 Push press, 45 pounds 24lbs
50 Back extensions
50 Wall ball shots, 20 8 pound ball
50 Burpees
50 Double unders (attempts, i only actually got 4 of them)

And I didn’t die!!! In 32:11, I did all that, I didn’t die, I pushed myself, and I felt like a bajillion bucks afterwards.

So I went to Wal-mart to get some hair products and Drano (in one store. Wal-mart, you are a bad, bad thing, but some days I love you so much), and I picked up this shirt:
